Save the date! The next ESGLD workshop will be held from 11th to 13th October 2026 in Rotterdam, hosted by Erasmus MC – Center for Lysosomal and Metabolic Diseases at the Postillion Hotel & Convention Centre WTC Rotterdam.
Scope
The workshop aims to present and discuss progress in the field of lysosomal diseases, and is meant for basic and translational scientists, clinicians, and diagnostic experts. There will be ample opportunity for young scientists to present their work in oral and poster presentations. Expert key note speakers will give plenary lectures.
Invited Speakers

Venue and format
Scientific sessions will take place in the Van Oldenbarnevelt room, with posters and industry exhibition in Diamond Room 1, both within the Postillion Hotel & Convention Centre WTC Rotterdam complex in the middle of Rotterdam’s city centre. The Postillion Hotel & Convention Centre WTC Rotterdam is a vibrant building designed for trade fairs and international conferences with on-site hotel rooms.
The meeting is planned as a three-day, in-person event, starting on Sunday afternoon and finishing early Tuesday afternoon. Coffee, tea and refreshments will be available in the plenary area, with possibilities for networking supported by the lunches and evening buffets served on site.
Rotterdam – “Make it Happen”
Rotterdam is a modern, international port city known for its innovative architecture and its “Make it Happen” mentality – a place for doers and pioneers. The Postillion WTC stands directly on Beursplein, within walking distance of Rotterdam Centraal via metro or tram (station Beurs is at the door), surrounded by restaurants, museums and the waterfront.
Boat Tour
On Tuesday, 13 October 2026, from 15:00 to 17:00, participants are invited to join a two-hour boat tour of Rotterdam. The tour includes drinks and bites, and offers the opportunity to experience Rotterdam from the water. The boat departs from and returns to Parkhaven, across from the Euromast. Places are limited to 25 guests, so early registration is recommended. Participants can select this option on the registration page.
Local organizing committee
Erasmus MC will host the workshop via the Center of Lysosomal and Metabolic Diseases, and the Departments of Clinical Genetics and Pediatrics.

Please use the links provided below to register to the meeting and to submit an abstract which will be considered for either an oral or a poster presentation. Please note the following registration costs: Principle Investigator 340 €; Students/PhD student/Postdoc 240 €. Fees include all meals, and 2 year ESGLD membership.
Accommodation is not included and has to be self-organised. Reduced price accommodation is available at a first come, first serve basis at the venue WTC-Postillion, these are standard twin rooms at 169,- per night, to be paid directly to the Hotel.
