Over the years we have had many and varied Events and Workshops. Our 2021 Workshop was Virtual with presentations being a mixture of live and pre-recorded.

ESGLD Workshops
The hallmark of ESGLD workshops is their informal, yet science focused character. The format allows for a great deal of personal interaction, which frequently leads to collaborations and exchange of material between member groups. Significantly, at ESGLD workshops the programme does not depend the local organisers inviting speakers, but is almost exclusively assembled from the submitted abstracts. This ensures that latest, mostly unpublished results are presented in talks. Workshops usually take place in September and occur every other year.
ESGLD is striving to provide a forum for young investigators. Accordingly, the local organisers are especially encouraged to select oral presentations by young researchers. At each workshop 3 outstanding presentations from researchers less than 35 years years of age will be awarded a prize of €750. In addition, the participation of students is facilitated by offering reduced registration fees.

19th ESGLD 2013 Workshop: 26-29 September, Austria.
The 19th ESGLD workshop was held at Seggau Castle (www.seggau.com), near Graz, Austria on 26th-29th September 2013. The meeting was organised by Eduard Paschke, with the help of Michaela Brunner Krainz, Susanne Kircher, Barbara Plecko, and David Kasper.

18th ESGLD 2011 Workshop: September 3-6, 2011 Långvik, Finland.
ESGLD Finland 2011 was held at the Långvik Congress Wellness Hotel (http://www.langvik.fi/en) in Långvik, Kirkkonummi, Finland, which is located in the naturally beautiful environment of Kirkkonummi, at half-an-hour drive from Helsinki-Vantaa airport and from Helsinki city centre.
